The Hennessy

David Dent, British 1959
David Dent was born in Solihull in 1959 and moved to South Wales at the age of four. After leaving school he went on to study education at the University of the West of England Bristol. However after completing his degree course, like so many other artists of his generation he soon realised that his talents lay elsewhere. With his love of horse racing and his art, he was able to quickly established himself as one of the leading equestrian artists on the racing circuit.

Dents paintings are well known for capturing the buzz and excitement on race days. With a colourful pallet and a unique ability to depict movement, these paintings are a firm favourite amongst the racing community.
